FOAM MOSAIC WITH DAVID JARVINEN
David is back to Studio 9!
Join David to learn to prep styrofoam into a flat dimensional art piece. Add up to four layers including the base. Learn to discover depth with use of materials. Learn about cement coatings and tips and tricks working with these materials. We will work to shape your foam pieces, attach them together, mix up cement and coat the substrate. Then, in afternoon, we will work to start to colorize our new mosaic. Day 2 we work to start our mosaic process, mixing glass tiles and porcelain tiles for interest. Day three we finish up adhering mosaic. Learn about porcelain nippers as well as wheeled nippers. Grout/grouting is not included.
